AEE 1248: Feeling Sick? How to Ask to Leave Work Early in English

(v靠近、接近、臨近

📝e.g. Michael is always very logical in his approach.


2. scratchyadj)有刮痕的

📌defA scratchy record, etc. has scratches on it so it makes unpleasant noises when it is played.

3. appropriate

(adj適當的、恰當的、合適的

📌def:suitable or right for a particular situation or occasion.

📝e.g. He lost his job when he was found to have appropriated some of the company's money.

 

4. acknowledgev)承認、認可…屬實或存在

📝e.g. You must acknowledge the truth of her argument.

 

5. formality(n)禮節、俗套、例行公事

📌defsomething that has to be done but has no real importance.

📝e.g. You'll have to sign the visitors' book, but it's just a formality.
